About Notion Shortcuts

Notion launched in 2016 as an all-in-one workspace that combines notes, docs, databases, wikis, and project boards. As of 2026 it has over 30 million users — heavily used by product managers, designers, developers, and students for personal knowledge management. Notion's shortcut ecosystem centers on the slash command menu (typing / opens an inline picker for every block type) and block-level navigation (Tab to indent, Tab+Shift to outdent). This reference card covers the most-used 80+ shortcuts across 7 functional areas: Common, Editing & blocks, Selection & navigation, Formatting & markdown, Links & references, Comments & collaboration, View & theme. All entries are transcribed from Notion's official documentation. How to use - Pick your platform (Windows / macOS) at the top. - Search any feature name or shortcut text. - Click any row's Copy button to grab the key string. - Export PNG (2400×1140 landscape) for a wallpaper; PDF for a single A4 landscape page. Tips - Type / on any empty line to open the block picker — every block type is there. - Type [[ to link to another page, @@ to mention a person, :: to insert emoji. - Type ``` to start a code block with syntax highlighting. - Ctrl+K opens Quick find — search across all your Notion pages. - Ctrl+Shift+M adds a comment to the current block (or selected text). Why this separate from vscode-shortcuts? Notion is about blocks and pages, not code. Mixing it with IDE shortcuts would dilute both tools. This separation keeps each printable as one page.
